Imagine the heat in the kitchen when we were asked to design Jamie Oliver’s brand new cookbook, Save with Jamie, which hits the shelves on 29 August, published by Michael Joseph at Penguin Random House.
From mood boards and brainstorming sessions with Jamie at Superfantastic HQ, to setting up a pop-up design studio on location at the shoot, we’ve been involved in every step of creating this beautiful book. Working closely with Jamie and his team, we’ve been picture editing, creating hand-drawn illustrations, taking in copy amends and most importantly, ensuring that the message of the book is conveyed in a really simple, useful, easy to understand way (plus we got to sample loads of amazing food!).
Save with Jamie is all about shopping smartly, cooking cleverly and wasting less. It draws on cooking skills to help us make better choices, buy more economically, get the most out of ingredients, embrace leftovers, save time and prevent food waste. In true Jamie style it’s full of big flavours, colourful dishes and lots of lovely comfort food to make us all happy. It’s time to get kitchen smart, so pick up a copy now. We were given the exciting challenge of creating labels for these delicious wines that have been delighting diners in Jamie’s Italian restaurants for several seasons. Fun, lively, crisp, punchy and crammed with flavour were just some of the characteristics that we brought to life on the bottle. Grown on the sunny slopes of Sicily by a local wine collective founded more than 50 years ago, the wines are wonderfully versatile and extremely easy drinking. Keep an eye out in your local Tesco store and grab a bottle or two to enjoy at home.
The original Jamie’s Italian in Oxford has just turned 5-years old. To celebrate, they’ve got a beautiful birthday menu that includes some of Jamie’s delicious classic dishes and current tasty favourites – all priced at £5. This Sunday, 14th July, is Bastille Day – France’s national holiday and a celebration of all things French! To mark the occasion Better Bankside are hosting a day of fun in the famous Borough Market. Come on down to this free event from midday to 10pm for artisan crafts, the finest French food, live music, theatrical spectacles, educational workshops and cultural presentations.
Inspired by our love for our local market and all things foodie, we created the look for this year’s festival, the promotional materials and graphics.
